Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Toronto

The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Toronto , in collaboration with the Korean Education Centre in Canada and the University of Toronto hosted the “2026 Toronto Korean Speech Contest” on March 14, 2026, at the University of Toronto’s Earth Sciences Centre, with approximately 250 attendees.

Participants from across Canada applied, and 38 finalists advanced through the preliminary round to compete in four categories: High School and General (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced). The event was followed by a K-Pop Random Play Dance session, adding excitement and allowing participants to enjoy Korean culture together.
